  2.     Thank you for trying AmiQWK II.
  3.

  5.     Sorry this version took longer to get out than I expected.  writing the
  6. new  documentation  took much longer than I expected, and other things kept
  7. me from spending as much time on AmiQWK as I had wanted to.  However I have
  8. added  two  of  the most requested features, ANSI display and re-editing of
  9. new  messages,  and  I  have  re-written  the  documentation and fixed some
  10. internal  links  to the AmigaGuide docs.  Hopefully it will have been worth
  11. the wait.

  13.     The  new  documentation  is  written  in Texinfo, the GNU documentation
  14. format.   Writing  documentation  in  Texinfo allows the creation of ASCII,
  15. hypertext,  and  typeset  documentation  all from the same source document.
  16. Therefore  for  the  first time AmiQWK comes with ASCII and TeX .DVI format
  17. documentation.    Also   the  AmigaGuide  documentation  has  been  greatly
  18. improved.

  20.     I   have   a   new  Internet  address,  Jim_Dawson@hguild.com.   Please
  21. discontinue  using  my  old  address  (thg2!jimdawson@sycom.mi.org) as I no
  22. longer  get  mail  from that site.  Unlike the old address, the new address
  23. should  be  accessible  from  any  usenet/internet  site  in the world.  If
  24. possible,  use  this  address  instead of my Portal address, as I only call
  25. Portal about once or twice a week.

  27.     I  have  also  added  Fidonet  to  the  support  BBS,  so I can provide
  28. technical  support and registration keys via fidonet netmail.  At this time
  29. I  do not carry any fidonet echoes (except for the ST:TNG echo, and I don't
  30. think  they  would  like  any AmiQWK discussions there.) but I may add some
  31. additional  echoes  sometime in the future.  Note that I may have to change
  32. my  fidonet address sometime in the future due to a question of which 'net'
  33. I  am  supposed to be in.  If you cannot send mail to 1:2290/42.0, look for
  34. The Hackers Guild II BBS in net 1:11/*.0.
